Social Responsibility
Between 2007 and 2012 we reduced the carbon footprint of a cup of FUERTE® coffee by over 28%.As part of FUERTE® new sustainability strategy, The Natural Bean, for 2020, we have developed a mechanism to compensate its residual operational carbon footprint. The mechanism consists in planting trees within our value chain so that the benefits delivered by the trees on top of carbon sequestration (for instance, soil regeneration, water availability…) can benefit the FUERTE® value chain partners. This will enable us to become 100% carbon efficient in our operations.
